I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and, after a bit of trial and error, I successfully installed Quicken 2004. Today I uninstalled it and tried two methods from scratch (to test out what I had found).Method A:Instead of allowing the automatic installation to run from the CD I viewed the files on the CD and right clicked on 'start.exe' then selected 'Run as administrator'. The installation proceeded perfectly.When I ran Quicken 2004, of course it wanted me to enter the 'Installation Key Code' to renew the licence. I did that but got a message saying that I had installed it on a different computer and asking me to contact Intuit to renew the licence. As Quicken 2004is no longer supported in the UK this might or might not have been a problem.I had previously successfully installed Quicken from a hard drive in my trial and error sessions, see below, so that might be what caused the licence renewal problem.
